Analog Temperature Meters

Building a temperature dial is quite simple. Presuming that you already have an image for your scale, the first thing you will need to know is which temperature is displayed at the top of the dial. This is where Watchmaker begins its calculations. Then you must know how many degrees (rotation) your degrees Centigrade or Fahrenheit are apart from each other.

The formula is (0 dial rotation - temperature at the top of dial) * degree temperature steps. Example: I have a temperature scale that displays -30° to +50° - each degree is 5°(rotation) apart. At the top of the dial, I have 10°. The formula for correct dial rotation is: ({wt} - 10}*5
